Hello August! The fireweed is in full bloom and it’s beautiful but a little rainy, as to be expected for our summer in Alaska. Have you had a chance to get outside and enjoy the beauty of our state, catch a king salmon, hike among the wildflowers or pick some blueberries?
If not, you’d better get out there soon, summer won’t last long after the last of the fireweed blooms fall. Kids are heading back to school, some virtual and some in person. Anchorage is still on a bit of a lockdown when it comes to restaurants, gyms and outdoor gatherings but we are tough Alaskans so we can get through anything. The state fair was cancelled this year but there are still many things to enjoy in our gorgeous state whether you’re in Girdwood, Anchorage, Chugiak, Eagle River, Palmer or Wasilla. Head out to Talkeetna or Willow for some fun in the woods or take a boat on out on Big Lake to enjoy the water. Whatever you do, go and enjoy Alaska!
The market has changed quite a bit and you can see it in our August Market Trends Report. Take a look!
